This installation can’t be shown in a photo.
My intention was to show the public how much I enjoy being in the forest and how calming it is to me.
I build a box which could fit one person. Upon entering you would not be able to see anything, complete darkness.
It wanted to shut out the sense eyesight, which we use and ‘trust’ the most, and put focus on the other senses.
While entering the installation you would feel that you’re walking on soil and soft moss, you would smell and feel pine branches against your shoulders, a soft breeze in your face and hear birds singing.
Because you couldn’t see anything it was like walking in a forest.
